Winter Welcome Hike!
Saturday, December 4 at 10 am sharp. Meet at the Willow River Nature Center.
Join the Naturalist at Willow River State Park and greet winter with a 4-mile hike showcasing some of the best snowshoeing trails in the park. This hike offers a more rugged yet scenic route to the Willow Falls for hikers and snowshoers at a time when most park trails are limited to skiing only. This will be a great opportunity to learn about other winter hiking and snowshoe accessible trails at both Willow River and Kinnickinnic State Park!
Christmas Story Outdoor Exploratory!
Saturday December 11 from 1-3pm. Meet outside the Willow River Nature Center.
Christmas is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with some fresh air, stories and smiles?!
Join us at the park for a little Christmas exploration. Search for several holly-jolly stories and make note of your merry work. Bring back your list so we can check it twice and receive a participation prize for being oh-so-nice!
Candy Cane Scavenger Hunt!
Saturday, December 18, from 1–3 PM. Meet at The Willow River Nature Center.
Join us at the Nature Center for a holly-jolly scavenger hunt along the Hidden Ponds Nature Trail. Search for items, solve riddles, and jingle all the way as we celebrate one of the most wonderful holidays of the year!
