Winter Welcome Hike!

Saturday, December 5th 1pm sharp. Meet at the gravel parking lot on 770th avenue off of County Road F.

 

Join the Naturalist at Kinnickinnic State Park and discover her favorite winter hiking trail. This 3-mile hike takes you through several different habitats and offers beautiful views of the St. Croix River this time of the year. Please dress for the weather and bring along, water, good hiking shoes, and binoculars!

This event is free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required. 

The program is limited to 50 persons on a first come, first served basis.  Participants must maintain social distance of at least 6 feet from others. Masks or facial coverings are recommended.

Christmas Story Outdoor Exploratory!

Saturday, December 12 from 1-3pm at the Willow River Nature Center.

Christmas is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with some fresh air, stories and smiles?! 

Join us at the park for a little Christmas exploration. Search for several holly-jolly stories and make note of your merry work. Bring back your list so we can check it twice and receive a participation prize for being oh-so-nice!

This event is free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required.

Candy Cane Scavenger Hunt!

Saturday, December 19, from 1 PM – 3 PM Meet at The Willow River Nature Center

Join us at the Nature Center for a holly-jolly scavenger hunt along the Hidden Ponds Nature Trail. Search for items, solve riddles, and jingle all the way as we celebrate one of the most wonderful holidays of the year! 

This event is free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required. 

The program is limited to 50 persons on a first come, first served basis.  Participants must maintain social distance of at least 6 feet from others. Masks or facial coverings are recommended.
