Christmas Nature Crafts!

Saturday, December 7th OR 15th at 1pm at the Willow River Nature Center.

Come get crafty with nature and make a christmas ornament with natural items found outside in nature. Create one of our pieces with guided help (if needed) or make your very own creation! There will be easier ornaments for younger kids or more intricate ornaments for all other ages. This is a great family activity to enjoy as we get ready for one of the happiest holiday of the year!

Winter Wonderland Animal Homes!

Saturday, December 22nd 2018 from 1-2pm at the Willow River Nature Center.

Come learn about animals that battle through the gruesome Wisconsin winters and see what kind of homes they construct to stay cozy. Get creative and make your own edible winter wonderland home out of fun winter/Christmas themed ingredients!


Don’t Forget About Our Preschool Young Naturalist Classes!

Every Tuesday or Wednesday from 10-11am bring your preschooler (ages 3-5) to the Nature Center to learn about all things Nature!

Classes include hikes, games, crafts, story time and more! Always come dressed for the weather and with plenty of water. 




Winter Geocaching!

Saturday, December 28, from 1 PM – 3 PM Meet at The Willow River Nature Center

Get outside despite the cold weather and enjoy this fun treasure hunting activity! Bring items with you to place into hidden geocaches that you find, and you can take an item in return! Warm up with hot chocolate and a snack afterwards at the Nature Center. We will supply the GPS units or you can download the free geocaching app on your smartphone!
