CANCELLED: Frosty Falls Hike!

Unsafe Trail Conditions

Join Naturalist Ash on a wintery walk to the Willow Falls. This is a spectacular time of year for viewing the frost covered falls. But don’t just take our word for it, get out there and see for yourself! This will be a 4 mile hike round trip. Depending on the weather and depth of snow it could also be quite strenuous. Be sure to dress in warm layers, bring plenty of water, and good hiking boots or snowshoes.

If you want to rent snowshoes from the Friends Group for this event please call 715-869-3695 or email wrsnowshoe@gmail.com  at least 2 days in advance to check on availability.

Mound Trail Hike!

Saturday, March 12 at 10am sharp. Meet at the Rattle Bridge Parking Lot off of County Road E.

Shake off the winter blues and enjoy some fresh air and a peaceful hike along the Willow River as we head for spring. This 2-mile round trip trail offers beautiful views of the river and quieter surroundings than some of the busier trails within the park. The hike should take roughly 1- 1 ½  hours to complete. Please dress for the weather and bring along, water, good hiking boots, binoculars, and a camera if you wish.

Trace-A-Track!

Saturday, March 26 from 1-3pm Meet at the Willow River Nature Center.

Grab a track-rubbing booklet and hit the ½ mile Hidden Ponds Nature Trail where you will discover the tracks of several animals found living here in the park. collect their tracks and silhouettes, learn fun facts, and collect a participation prize!
