Fall Scavenger Hunt!

Saturday, October 3, anytime from 1-3PM At the Kinnickinnic State Park St. Croix Lot.

Avoid getting cooped up with COVID and join us at the park for a fun and educational scavenger hunt. Search for items, solve riddles, and uncover hidden animals in the forest while surrounded by beautiful fall colors and fresh, cool air!

This event is free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required. The program is limited to 50 persons on a first come, first served basis.  Participants must maintain social distance of at least 6 feet from others. Masks or facial coverings are recommended.

Willow River Trail Challenge!

Saturday, October 9th-12th at anytime of the day. At Willow River State Park.

The Race Is On!
The virtual race will take place over 4 full days, Friday, October 9th through Monday, October 12th at Willow River State Park.

Fall Colors Hike!

Saturday October, 17th hike leaves at 1pm Sharp. Meet at the Willow River State Park Nature Center.

Fall is upon us, get outdoors and enjoy it! Join Naturalist Ashley on a 6-mile round trip hike to the Willow Falls while observing the beautiful fall colors of several deciduous trees along the way. Learn why leaves change different colors in the fall and identify different types of trees along the way. This will be a long distance hike with some sections of hilly terrain. Bring along water, a camera, good hiking shoes, and dress in layers for the ever-changing weather!

This event is free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required. The program is limited to 50 persons on a first come, first served basis.  Participants must maintain social distance of at least 6 feet from others. Masks or facial coverings are recommended.

Spooky Nocturnal Animals Hike!

Saturday, October 24th at 6:30PM. Meet at the Willow River State Park Nature Center.

With Halloween approaching, the nights are getting long, cold, dark and eerie. Who is making all those spine-chilling noises in the forests at night?! Is it a ghost or a ghoul out to steal your s’mores or your SOUL?! Join Naturalist Ashley on an evening hike and discover who’s responsible for all those spooky sounds of the night! Then embark on a flashlight scavenger hunt and see if you are rewarded with a trick or a treat at the end!
