Summer Naturalist Classes

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 10:00am-Noon in June, July and August. Come to one class or weekly throughout the summer if you'd like! Registration is required for these classes.

Enjoying nature should have no limitations. Let's all do it together! Classes are open to individuals and families with children of all ages. But please note that some classes may not be suitable for children under the 6-8 age range.

Our classes are FREE but vehicle admission into the park is required. Class size is limited, so please be sure to only sign up for classes you know you will be present for. For family groups, register/get a ticket for each individual vs.one ticket for the whole family. We will have registration open for one month at a time. Each month there will be a major theme we'll focus on, but we will learn something new together each week:

June: Identification hikes on various trails throughout the park

July: Kayaking on Little Falls Lake and up the Willow River

August: Nature Crafts

PLEASE NOTE: There must be at least FIVE individuals signed up in order for the class to run. Classes may be canceled due to low attendance or inclement weather conditions. Please always check for a cancellation email before class. The Wisconsin DNR requires that at least one adult who brings a child must stay as a chaperone who represents the other adults.
